Day 19-Abby

Today I am thankful for Abby. She and I became best friends in first grade and we have been ever since! We live in the same town and hardly ever see each other, but whenever we get together it's like nothing changed. She's such a strong, beautiful woman and I am so proud of the lady she's become!

May 19

Well I didn't have to work today, and it was weird. Mom and dad went to Omaha for the night, so I was home alone all day. Of course, I couldn't have a party or anything (not that I would ;) ) because grandma would just have a cow! Abby and I made the rounds to graduation parties!

May 5

I was in my lifeguarding class all day. It was supposed to go until 8pm. I was back at Abby's apartment by 3:30. I showered and went to church and then Abby, Melinda, and I went out to eat at Applebee's. Abby and I watched Bridesmaids and called it a night! I finally purchased Bridesmaids for myself :)

May 4

Moving day! But first, Joyce, Katlyne, and I went to Panera for breakfast-YUM. My parents showed up around 10:30 and we started moving stuff out! Sad/happy day. We finished around 1:15 and headed to BWW for lunch. (Katlyne went with us). My parents headed home after that. I dropped Katlyne off at her car so she could head back home and I went to Abby's apartment. I have to stay in CF this weekend because I'm getting certified as a lifeguard! So here's my beautiful host for the weekend:

March 23

Fridayyyy. I wasn't really too excited about this Friday, though. I didn't have anything to look forward to this weekend except WORK. boo. Katlyne and I worked out this morning at the WRC. There was about 8 tours that went through while we were there. Embarrassing.... I was sitting on the exercise bike reading my book when I heard someone yell my name. I look up, and who other than Brittany Greig and Wanda. No way! I never would've recognized Brittany-she's so much older than the last time I saw her! Crazy. I got a call from City Hall today for an interview for a job at the pool this summer. We'll see what happens with that. (if I don't get it, I still have a job at the lake.) I went to work from 2 to 8. After work I shopped a little and found some birthday presents for Connor. I packed some stuff and then headed over to Abby's apartment. It was so nice to hang out with her. We talked allllll night. And it was awesome. :)

March 10

First, Happy Birthday to my bestie, Abby.

Second, longest day of my life. I woke up at 3:45 and was out the door by 4:35. I stopped to top my car off with gas and grab a cappuccino. Long drive to Sibley-before the sun was up. I arrived around 7 and my day started.I judged prose all morning and storytelling all afternoon. It was actually a lot of fun. After our center was done, I hopped in and watched David Robideau and Brett Nicholson perform. Austin and Brett rode home with me so I could stay awake. We had a ton of fun just chatting away. We stopped at Zac's house to pick up his boots, took Austin to Lake City, took the boots to Lytton, took Brett home, and then I FINALLY made it home around 8:30. I got a big hug from KAden, had a delicious piece of homemade pizza, and then Kaden helped me pack....sorta. I'm finally ready for bed. I have a cuddle buddy tonight. :)

February 18

I was late for work today, whoops! (Only 5 minutes!). The next 5 1/2 hours of my life were HELL. It was ridiculously busy at work. I think it was worse than Christmas season. So I got off work around 4:40 and then headed back to campus. I changed clothes and headed to Abby's apartment to see her and KENZIE. Yes, Kenzie. :) They were going to the Jason Aldean concert. When they left for that, I left to meet Rachel and Danielle at Russell hall. We went to the jazz band concert. It was really good, but really long. After the concert we went to Ton'y for pizza. We sat down, ordered, and the waitress comes back 2 minutes later and says, "We actually already had one made." No. Way. Danielle and I were so hungry because we didn't eat before the concert. It was amazing. We headed back to campus, which was ridiculous because it just happened to be at the same time that the Jason Aldean concert let out. Soooooo many people. I finally made it back to my room around midnight.

February 1

For those of you reading from my hometown, WHITE RABBIT. :)

I got up around 8:30 this morning and headed to the Union to work out. I went 15 minutes on the elliptical and then 13 minutes on the bike. While on the bike I started to read Hunger Games (hence the reason I went 13 instead of 10 minutes) I couldn't put it down! I'm only on the second chapter but it is SO GOOD!! So I have a feeling I'll be spending a lot more time reading in the near future :) After class Abby came to pick me up and we went on a date to Coldstone. On Wednesdays with a college ID it's buy one get one free-amazing! So she's my photo of the day. :) It was good to catch up with her-I haven't seen her since before Christmas, and we live in the same town!

After our date I came back to my room and made Zac's valentine that I get to send tomorrow morning. It was really cute. Katlyne and I watched Ellen at 4 and then messed around until we ate supper at 6. We ambushed Morgan's room with my computer playing Interlude-Morgan joined in and did it with us. It's actually a great workout! (If you don't know what the Interlude is, Youtube UNI Interlude dance) We went to supper at 6 and I headed for Hudson about 6:30. It was crazy foggy outside-I felt like I was in a bad horror movie. It was really hard to see to drive. I got back about 8:00 and then did some homework in the lounge with Katlyne and Danielle. I took a shower and Morgan thought of the fabulous idea to pour cold water on me while I was in there. Someday I'll get her back. But, ta-ta for now! :)
