I was slightly productive today....but only because I had to be. I spent all day working on my papers for Religions of the World. I even had time to spare when I got them done. Jen, Morgan, and Danielle all moved out today. Sad day :( Especially because Jen isn't coming back to UNI! What will I do without her.....

Highlight of my day: Getting a pedicure with this beautiful girl:

She's graduating this year, so I won't get to see her beautiful face at Relay meetings anymore :( BUT she's working on campus so I'll still see her at church :) 

I went to Hudson tonight for the last choir practice of the semester. A little sad, but not really because I'll be back in September :) 

I got to meet Katlyne's mom! I get excited about the weirdest things.....

April 4

Ok, it's April 4 and I still can't believe it's April already. Exactly one month from today, I will be done with my first year of college. YIKES! I don't want to grow up. Just kidding. :)

I woke up with the intention of being productive but, well, that didn't happen. I went to the bookstore before my 11:00 class to mail out the survivor letters. Wahoo! Can't wait for people to receive them. Then I went to my Oral Comm teacher's office (from last semester) and she gave me $5 for Relay. We're getting closer to our goal :)

After class I had lunch and then went to work. My shift seemed to go by pretty fast and then I shopped! They have associate shopping days today through Saturday which means we get 35% off instead of 15%. Plus I had a 20% off coupon. Plus I had $10 Kohl's cash. So I bought a new pair of tennis shoes and paid $27 for them :) I then went to Hudson for choir practice and came back to campus to study. 2 tests tomorrow :( BUT on the bright side,  I actually understand what I am being tested over in Math so that's a plus. :)

March 25

I had to play at Hudson today. When I got back from that I did some homework and got ready for the day. I had brunch with Katlyne and then worked from 2-6:45. I grabbed some supper and then headed to the church because I had to be the accompanist. When I got back from church I was so tired that I just crashed. My photo is from a spot on campus. March 21

Finally caught up! (Sorry for the lack of blogging until now.)

I intended to work out this morning. Instead, I finished homework. After class I was productive! I did some homework and FINALLY unpacked all my stuff from coming back after spring break. I rearranged my clothes to fit all my shorts and summer-y clothes in. One can actually sit down in my room now. :) I worked out (for the first time in 2 weeks-oofta!). It felt really good to workout again! I should not have taken 2 weeks off....I also realized that my arm is still pretty weak, even though the bruise is almost completely gone. (not that it wasn't weak before-ha.) During my workout, I started the 3RD HUNGER GAMES BOOK. I'm so excited. I'm going to bed early tonight so I can read for a while. :)

I had supper with Katlyne, Morgan, Jen, and Tiffany, and then headed to Hudson for choir practice. I got it all worked out so I can be home (well, in Alta) for Connor's 1st birthday party. Hooray. :) 

March 7

Happy Hump Day, seriously.

I had absolutely no desire to get out of bed. None. I did, though. I went and worked out-and walked back in shorts and a tshirt. 62 degrees!! It was awesome. I grabbed lunch quick between classes from the Union. After class I quick changed clothes (& I looked super cute, by the way) and headed to work. It was so nice out! I spent the majority of my time in customer service because they were swamped. I finally got my break with about an hour of my shift left, ha. After work I went back to campus to eat supper with Jen and then headed to Hudson for choir practice. I got back to campus about the same time Katlyne did and we went to 23rd Street so she could get some supper. I really should do some homework now....we'll see how that goes. March 4

Happy Grammar Day! :)

I had to play at Hudson this morning so I was up at 7:45 to leave at 8. :) I came back to town and ran to HyVee quick. I went to my own church at 10:30, walked back with boy Morgan, and then had lunch with Katlyne. I took my time putting the clothes away that I washed on Friday and cleaning my room. I also got some Relay stuff done. I ate supper with Jen and Katlyne at 5 and then Rob picked me up at 5:30. His parents are in town and they wanted to hear our band, so we got together and played a few songs. Lucas's parents came from Adel, too. Liz's parents even got to hear us via Skype. It was lots of fun. :) I got back and hung out with Katlyne and Jen for a while, and then we had a fire drill. How annoying. I didn't do much today but I sure am tired......

February 19

So I got up early enough this morning to throw some clothes on, brush my teeth, throw my hair in a ponytail, and leave. And I was still 5minutes late. No worries though, I think Emily has caught on to the idea of telling me I need to be there about 10 minutes earlier than I actually do... Anyway, I stayed at Hudson church long enough for the choir to sing and then I left. I drove out to Comfort Suites to pick up Cassie and Kenzie Brennan to drive them to their car (they took a taxi to their hotel after the concert last night). When I got back to my room I showered and did some homework and then ate brunch with Katlyne. I took a short catnap before I went to work at 2. I was supposed to get off at 7 but I have this weakness where, if someone asks me to do something, I can't say no. So when my manager asked me to stay an extra hour, I couldn't say no. I got off at 8 and headed back to campus. I went to church and am now heading to bed.

On a side note, three weeks from today I will be in Phoenix. Yay :)

February 5

I went to bed WAY too late last night. I ended up skyping with Zac until about 3am. Bad. Idea. 7:30 came way too fast. So I've gone the whole day on about 4 1/2 hours of sleep-no nap. I got up and went to play at Hudson. I left there when we got done singing our song and came back to my dorm to shower and get ready for church at St. Stephen's. I went to church and got to see Rob. He told me all about his weekend at the International Job Fair and the job he took in Mexico City :( I'm really happy that he's getting this opportunity but it's going to be sad when he leaves us :( (Rob started the Praise and Worship band that we have at St. Stephen's now). After church I went and had brunch with Katlyne at Rialto. I headed to the library around 12:40 to meet up with some classmates and study for our French test tomorrow. I'm not too worried about it but I figured studying couldn't hurt me. When I got back from the library Danielle curled my hair so I could make Zac's Valentine's Day present. :) I will show a picture of the finished product but I'll share the pictures that are going into it. (Don't worry, he doesn't read my blog. He doesn't even know how to get to it, so we're good :) )

These are the final edited ones that I'm using. I realize the L doesn't look that great, especially compared to the others, but oh well. (He's a guy, he won't really care.) Danielle took the photos for me. After the photo shoot was over, Katlyne, Morgan and I went to dinner with Kelly and Danielle in the Rialto. Kelly and Danielle had an audition for a play. K, M and I went back upstairs. I turned the game on while making more valentines for Zac. Then I started editing the photos and I finally finished a little bit ago. Our lighting wasn't ideal, otherwise these could have been better. So now, the sleep-deprived Whitney is finally crashing. Good night all! Have a great week!

February 1

For those of you reading from my hometown, WHITE RABBIT. :)

I got up around 8:30 this morning and headed to the Union to work out. I went 15 minutes on the elliptical and then 13 minutes on the bike. While on the bike I started to read Hunger Games (hence the reason I went 13 instead of 10 minutes) I couldn't put it down! I'm only on the second chapter but it is SO GOOD!! So I have a feeling I'll be spending a lot more time reading in the near future :) After class Abby came to pick me up and we went on a date to Coldstone. On Wednesdays with a college ID it's buy one get one free-amazing! So she's my photo of the day. :) It was good to catch up with her-I haven't seen her since before Christmas, and we live in the same town!

After our date I came back to my room and made Zac's valentine that I get to send tomorrow morning. It was really cute. Katlyne and I watched Ellen at 4 and then messed around until we ate supper at 6. We ambushed Morgan's room with my computer playing Interlude-Morgan joined in and did it with us. It's actually a great workout! (If you don't know what the Interlude is, Youtube UNI Interlude dance) We went to supper at 6 and I headed for Hudson about 6:30. It was crazy foggy outside-I felt like I was in a bad horror movie. It was really hard to see to drive. I got back about 8:00 and then did some homework in the lounge with Katlyne and Danielle. I took a shower and Morgan thought of the fabulous idea to pour cold water on me while I was in there. Someday I'll get her back. But, ta-ta for now! :)
