April 9

And so it begins. Relay week. WAHOOO!!!

I did manage to get a workout in today. I also went to my classes (hooray!). Not that that's ever a problem :)

I worked this afternoon, and we were short-staffed. Which was a little annoying. But what can you do?

After work I had supper with Katlyne. I planned to be productive (and I really should have been), but, alas, I was not. Oh well.

We had our last CAC meeting before Relay tonight. Scary!! It was just under 2 hours long. And surprisingly I'm not that tired. We'll see if I feel the same way in the morning....

On the plus side, we surpassed our team goal today :)

April 6

Woohoo. Another Friday.

ONE WEEK AWAY FROM RELAY. :)

I had a pretty blocked out schedule today. Workout, lunch, French test, work, church. After church I had soup and helped them do the spring cleaning for a little while. Then I made a Walmart run. Funny how you can spend money without even realizing it..ugh.

Right now I'm watching Enchanted. on my futon. by myself. Because all of my friends went home for the weekend. Boo. :( I was so jealous of everyone going home.

On my Walmart trip, I made a little purchase to indulge in on Sunday. :)

Also. My French professor told me today that my outfit looked very European and that I could go to Paris dressed like that. Oh my GOSH I would LOVE to go back to Paris. Maybe someday....

March 28

Hump day. About freakin' time. This week has been so slow. I forced myself to get out of bed this morning and work out. After getting ready for the day I headed to the campanile with the gallon of ice cream that I was storing my freezer. CAC had free Root Beer floats today because it's campus crusade. Hoorah. They were delicious. I went to class and then ate lunch with...get this...Christopher Gray. I always see him in the dining center eating at the same time I am alone. Usually I eat with Courtney but she had other plans today so I asked him to eat with me. We were civil, and it was actually kind of nice. After lunch I was planning on being productive but we all know how well THAT usually turns out. I went to the library at 3 to work with Katlyne on our geography project. We're in the same class with the same professor, just at different times. We have a travel guide project due in a couple weeks, so her and I are doing the same country. We headed back to the dorms later and had supper with Tiffany, Jen, Danielle, and Morgan. After supper we sat outside and Danielle painted our nails. What a nice gal! I had a team captain meeting for Relay at 7 (which took all of 30 minutes). I did some homework and took a shower and now I think I'll lie in bed and play Draw Something (SO ADDICTING).

March 23

Fridayyyy. I wasn't really too excited about this Friday, though. I didn't have anything to look forward to this weekend except WORK. boo. Katlyne and I worked out this morning at the WRC. There was about 8 tours that went through while we were there. Embarrassing.... I was sitting on the exercise bike reading my book when I heard someone yell my name. I look up, and who other than Brittany Greig and Wanda. No way! I never would've recognized Brittany-she's so much older than the last time I saw her! Crazy. I got a call from City Hall today for an interview for a job at the pool this summer. We'll see what happens with that. (if I don't get it, I still have a job at the lake.) I went to work from 2 to 8. After work I shopped a little and found some birthday presents for Connor. I packed some stuff and then headed over to Abby's apartment. It was so nice to hang out with her. We talked allllll night. And it was awesome. :)

March 21

Finally caught up! (Sorry for the lack of blogging until now.)

I intended to work out this morning. Instead, I finished homework. After class I was productive! I did some homework and FINALLY unpacked all my stuff from coming back after spring break. I rearranged my clothes to fit all my shorts and summer-y clothes in. One can actually sit down in my room now. :) I worked out (for the first time in 2 weeks-oofta!). It felt really good to workout again! I should not have taken 2 weeks off....I also realized that my arm is still pretty weak, even though the bruise is almost completely gone. (not that it wasn't weak before-ha.) During my workout, I started the 3RD HUNGER GAMES BOOK. I'm so excited. I'm going to bed early tonight so I can read for a while. :)

I had supper with Katlyne, Morgan, Jen, and Tiffany, and then headed to Hudson for choir practice. I got it all worked out so I can be home (well, in Alta) for Connor's 1st birthday party. Hooray. :) 

March 7

Happy Hump Day, seriously.

I had absolutely no desire to get out of bed. None. I did, though. I went and worked out-and walked back in shorts and a tshirt. 62 degrees!! It was awesome. I grabbed lunch quick between classes from the Union. After class I quick changed clothes (& I looked super cute, by the way) and headed to work. It was so nice out! I spent the majority of my time in customer service because they were swamped. I finally got my break with about an hour of my shift left, ha. After work I went back to campus to eat supper with Jen and then headed to Hudson for choir practice. I got back to campus about the same time Katlyne did and we went to 23rd Street so she could get some supper. I really should do some homework now....we'll see how that goes. Countdown. 1 week until Spring Break. I can do this. I hope.

I worked out this morning before class (& I could definitely tell it had been a while. :S ) I went to my classes and then had lunch with Courtney. I worked 2-6:15 and then came back and had supper with Morgan, Jen, and Katlyne. After supper I went to the Union for bank night to turn in my money for Relay and then we had an exec meeting(which lasted way too long.) February 29

Happy Leap Day!
I had a conference with my Writing teacher this morning.....worthless. It took about 5 minutes. I went to the Union to work out for the first time in a week. Obviously I couldn't do much, but I rode the exercise bike while starting a new book-Water for Elephants (I'm waiting for a friend to finish the second Hunger Games book so I can read it). I came back to the room to shower...when I walked up the stairs, BOTH bathrooms were  "temporarily closed for maintenance". Whaaaaaat. So I couldn't shower until 10:45, and then Danielle was complaining because she was ready to eat but I wasn't. Oh goodness it was a fiasco. (not really, though). I didn't have my 11:00 class so I had lunch with Danielle and then went to French at noon. It was RIDICULOUSLY windy outside, plus snow. It was crazy. During French, Flavia decided to push the test back (yet again-I'm not complaining though) to Monday. Woohoo! I worked from 2:15-6:15....that was not easy. Emily decided to cancel choir practice for tonight so I didn't have to drive to Hudson in the crazy weather. I came back to the dorms and ate Ramen while Morgan ate pizza and we watched America's Funniest Home Videos. I showered, watched Modern Family with Morgan, and then we HELPED KATLYNE CARRY HER STUFF INSIDE!!!! She came back. Oh my goodness I missed her so much. I'm so glad she's back. :) My picture is of her door, decorated by Danielle, for her homecoming.

I tried my first Naked smoothie today. Addicted. They are so ridiculously good. (but expensive). Luckily I have about 120 dining dollars left to use. :)

Lindsay posted a picture of Connor's first night at the bowling alley. Is he not the cutest thing ever?! I miss him so much, squishy face and all.

February 20

Mooooooooooonday. <---- that's how long my day felt. I got up and went to work out at the Union. I came back, showered, ate some delectable Honey Nut Cheerios, and went to class. In my writing class we did a revision exercise-YES. I love grammar. My brother-in-law JD calls me a nerd for that, but he's the one currently assembling his own computer........ :) French class was awesome, as always. Flavia can always brighten my day. I took every chance I got today to read more in my book. I just want to finish it but I have a busy week so I should probably get all the sleep I can. I worked from 3-7, mostly in Customer Service, which I've never been officially "trained" in, but I know how to do most of the stuff back there...so my supervisor always has me help out if the line is long-which is fine because I actually sorta...like customer service. I walked out of Kohl's and it was a bit windy and chilly, but there was no precipitation. I parked my car and the minute I stepped out to walk back to my building-SNOW. or RAIN. I'm not quite sure what it was actually, but it was cold and wet and blowing everywhere and it made the walk MISERABLE. I made it back to the dorm, repacked my bag, and headed to the Union for our CAC meetings. Our executive meeting was record time-less than an hour. Sweet! I can actually get to bed at a decent time tonight. Awesome. :)

Today is national Hoodie Hoo Day. I have no idea what that means, but it reminds me of a song my nephew sings....I wish I could show you a video of it, but I can't find it. Shucks.

February 17

I was up unusually early today. That's because UNI hosted an Up-Close day, where possible students come and really get to see UNI "Up-Close". I went to the McLeod to sit at a table for CAC with Lindsey, another CAC exec. We did the Interlude on the floor before we left. It was fun :) After that I headed to the WRC for a quick workout. I rushed back to my room to get ready in time for class. I get to class, and we're there for 20 minutes. No joke. So I went to the Union and had lunch. After my 12:00 class I came back to my room because I (apparently) volunteered to have my room open for people to view. So I cleaned it up really fast and then sat here....for 2 hours. Haha, Katlyne sat with me for a while. I went to donate plasma and now I'm heading to eat supper with Katlyne. Who knows what the rest of the night will bring! Here's a photo from this morning:

February 10

FRIDAY! :) I worked out before class today. After class I ate lunch with Courtney and then went to donate plasma. I haven't done that since before Christmas break. I treated myself by going to Walmart and purchasing a Cadbury Creme Egg. :)  When I got back I went to the book store and mailed Kaden and Connor's valentines. I tidied my room a bit and then went to supper with Katlyne, Danielle, Jen, Tiffany, Brandon, and Brett. After supper I redecorated my door and then Katlyne, Tiffany, and I watched Bridesmaids in my room. Zac got here around 11:15. We went to bed around midnight.

February 1

For those of you reading from my hometown, WHITE RABBIT. :)

I got up around 8:30 this morning and headed to the Union to work out. I went 15 minutes on the elliptical and then 13 minutes on the bike. While on the bike I started to read Hunger Games (hence the reason I went 13 instead of 10 minutes) I couldn't put it down! I'm only on the second chapter but it is SO GOOD!! So I have a feeling I'll be spending a lot more time reading in the near future :) After class Abby came to pick me up and we went on a date to Coldstone. On Wednesdays with a college ID it's buy one get one free-amazing! So she's my photo of the day. :) It was good to catch up with her-I haven't seen her since before Christmas, and we live in the same town!

After our date I came back to my room and made Zac's valentine that I get to send tomorrow morning. It was really cute. Katlyne and I watched Ellen at 4 and then messed around until we ate supper at 6. We ambushed Morgan's room with my computer playing Interlude-Morgan joined in and did it with us. It's actually a great workout! (If you don't know what the Interlude is, Youtube UNI Interlude dance) We went to supper at 6 and I headed for Hudson about 6:30. It was crazy foggy outside-I felt like I was in a bad horror movie. It was really hard to see to drive. I got back about 8:00 and then did some homework in the lounge with Katlyne and Danielle. I took a shower and Morgan thought of the fabulous idea to pour cold water on me while I was in there. Someday I'll get her back. But, ta-ta for now! :)
