Day 30-Relay Fam!!
I cannot even express in words how thankful I am that I got involved in Colleges Against Cancer/Relay For Life here at UNI. I have made so many good friends and I cherish every one of the people involved in our organization because we are all fighting for such an amazing cause!

April 29
Sunday, Sunday. It went like this: church, eat, nap, eat, CAC meeting, eat, bed. Not joking. I did get a few thank you notes written, and a start on one of my papers. But otherwise, worthless. It's becoming a trend......
In the meantime, here's my friend Danielle.

I worked, and then went to Will's (Joyce's boyfriend) senior piano recital. It was sooooo good!
We had a wrap-up meeting for Relay tonight. Our last exec meeting with our seniors/people leaving us. :( It was sad, but also fun! We had pizza courtesy of Kelly at Doughey Joey's. Here's a pic of all the execs:

April 9
And so it begins. Relay week. WAHOOO!!!
I did manage to get a workout in today. I also went to my classes (hooray!). Not that that's ever a problem :)
I worked this afternoon, and we were short-staffed. Which was a little annoying. But what can you do?
After work I had supper with Katlyne. I planned to be productive (and I really should have been), but, alas, I was not. Oh well.
We had our last CAC meeting before Relay tonight. Scary!! It was just under 2 hours long. And surprisingly I'm not that tired. We'll see if I feel the same way in the morning....
On the plus side, we surpassed our team goal today :)

Okayyyyy....I forgot to take a picture today. :(
I headed back to school this morning. After my classes I was productive! (kinda) I got some Relay stuff done. Katlyne and I worked out and then had supper with Jen, Morgan, and Tiffany. After supper I headed to the library to get some homework done. I had a committee meeting at 8 and an executive meeting at 8:30 for Relay. It's crunch time!! 10 days. SO EXCITED. But, I probably won't sleep much between now and then. So much to do!
If you want to donate...... :)

March 28
Hump day. About freakin' time. This week has been so slow. I forced myself to get out of bed this morning and work out. After getting ready for the day I headed to the campanile with the gallon of ice cream that I was storing my freezer. CAC had free Root Beer floats today because it's campus crusade. Hoorah. They were delicious. I went to class and then ate lunch with...get this...Christopher Gray. I always see him in the dining center eating at the same time I am alone. Usually I eat with Courtney but she had other plans today so I asked him to eat with me. We were civil, and it was actually kind of nice. After lunch I was planning on being productive but we all know how well THAT usually turns out. I went to the library at 3 to work with Katlyne on our geography project. We're in the same class with the same professor, just at different times. We have a travel guide project due in a couple weeks, so her and I are doing the same country. We headed back to the dorms later and had supper with Tiffany, Jen, Danielle, and Morgan. After supper we sat outside and Danielle painted our nails. What a nice gal! I had a team captain meeting for Relay at 7 (which took all of 30 minutes). I did some homework and took a shower and now I think I'll lie in bed and play Draw Something (SO ADDICTING).

Well, I'm really lucky. For my religions class, we don't take tests. Instead, she gives us information to write essays and we have to turn them in by 5pm. On the day our essays are due, we don't have class because she has open office hours. Soooo of course, I don't ever work ahead. I'm lucky because my 12:30 class got cancelled, too. So after I went to my 8:00 and showered, I wrote my essays. I took a break for lunch and then started back up again. Surprisingly, I got them all done before my 2:00 class. Go me! I was pretty impressed with myself.
One would think that if we have a large number of people eating lunch together, we would choose a larger table. Of course not. I had lunch with Katlyne, Danielle, Morgan, Jen, and Danielle's friend AB. We chose a small table and all crammed around it. This is what the table looked like.....

Note to self: Get bigger table.
Since I finished all my homework, I was in a particularly good mood, and ridiculously hyper. Jen, Morgan, Katlyne, and I played Clue. When Jen went to class, Tiffany joined us and we played Phase 10. (If you know me well enough, you know that I was REALLY EXCITED about this, because I love playing games.) We ate supper and then I went to St. Stephen's for choir practice. I was not there very long because I had a committee meeting to go to for CAC. When I returned from the meeting, Katlyne and I went to play tennis (because I was annoying her with my insane amount of energy, so she wanted me to burn it off.) It worked, because I was ready for bed by the time we got back. Successful day!
Oh, here's a photo of my cute little trumpet playing friend, Rob. :)

March 26
The day is not over yet, but I thought I'd get this done while I have time. I slept in today, which was much needed after a long busy weekend. I was planning on doing some homework today when I got up...but I didn't. Instead, I went to the Union and met up with Austin and Brett. UNI hosted the IHSAA All State speech today. I went to my classes and then met up with them again. They sat with me while I ate lunch. I went to work from 2:30 to 6:45 and it was stupid. Two people didn't show up, so we were short staffed. I finally got my break when I had 45 minutes left in my shift. So annoying. I grabbed some supper and here I am. Blogging. Instead of doing my homework. Oh well. You only live once ;) I have a CAC meeting tonight. 18 DAYS UNTIL RELAY. Scary. But I can't wait. :)
The handsome fellows I spent part of my day with. :)

Back to reality. Boo. I went to classes, and then worked all afternoon. After work I had supper with the girls and then went to my meeting for CAC. It was a super boring day, but it went fast. And also, I forgot to take a picture. :(

March 5
Countdown. 1 week until Spring Break. I can do this. I hope.
I worked out this morning before class (& I could definitely tell it had been a while. :S ) I went to my classes and then had lunch with Courtney. I worked 2-6:15 and then came back and had supper with Morgan, Jen, and Katlyne. After supper I went to the Union for bank night to turn in my money for Relay and then we had an exec meeting(which lasted way too long.) My photo of the day is of me with BOTH of my hands on my hips, because I can. Hooray for making progress!! :)

Oofta. My weekend: Successful? yes. Productive? no. We did a whole lot of nothing in my Writing class. Soooo boring. In French Flavia filled us in on the changes happening with the budget cuts here at UNI. It was pretty interesting and a little scary. I had lunch with Danielle after class, took a shower, and then studied a little for Geography. I went at 4:30 to help with the Pizza Ranch fundraiser, but since I can't use my right arm, I didn't stay long. I went back to campus and picked up Jen, Morgan, and Danielle and we went back to Pizza Ranch to eat supper. When we got back to campus, Morgan, Danielle and I went to the library to meet the boy Morgan and study for World Geography. I'm in the Union now for my CAC meeting.......I'm so tired.
Here's my photo of the day:

February 20
Mooooooooooonday. <---- that's how long my day felt. I got up and went to work out at the Union. I came back, showered, ate some delectable Honey Nut Cheerios, and went to class. In my writing class we did a revision exercise-YES. I love grammar. My brother-in-law JD calls me a nerd for that, but he's the one currently assembling his own computer........ :) French class was awesome, as always. Flavia can always brighten my day. I took every chance I got today to read more in my book. I just want to finish it but I have a busy week so I should probably get all the sleep I can. I worked from 3-7, mostly in Customer Service, which I've never been officially "trained" in, but I know how to do most of the stuff back there...so my supervisor always has me help out if the line is long-which is fine because I actually sorta...like customer service. I walked out of Kohl's and it was a bit windy and chilly, but there was no precipitation. I parked my car and the minute I stepped out to walk back to my building-SNOW. or RAIN. I'm not quite sure what it was actually, but it was cold and wet and blowing everywhere and it made the walk MISERABLE. I made it back to the dorm, repacked my bag, and headed to the Union for our CAC meetings. Our executive meeting was record time-less than an hour. Sweet! I can actually get to bed at a decent time tonight. Awesome. :)
We got new name tags at Kohl's......apparently 4 months equals a year......?

Today is national Hoodie Hoo Day. I have no idea what that means, but it reminds me of a song my nephew sings....I wish I could show you a video of it, but I can't find it. Shucks.

February 17
I was up unusually early today. That's because UNI hosted an Up-Close day, where possible students come and really get to see UNI "Up-Close". I went to the McLeod to sit at a table for CAC with Lindsey, another CAC exec. We did the Interlude on the floor before we left. It was fun :) After that I headed to the WRC for a quick workout. I rushed back to my room to get ready in time for class. I get to class, and we're there for 20 minutes. No joke. So I went to the Union and had lunch. After my 12:00 class I came back to my room because I (apparently) volunteered to have my room open for people to view. So I cleaned it up really fast and then sat here....for 2 hours. Haha, Katlyne sat with me for a while. I went to donate plasma and now I'm heading to eat supper with Katlyne. Who knows what the rest of the night will bring! Here's a photo from this morning:

Lazy Sunday. :) They're the best! We got up and went to church at St. Stephen's because I had to be the accompanist. After church we went to Village Inn (this has become a tradition for us :) ) After breakfast/lunch we wandered around the mall until 1:15 when we headed to the movie theatre to see THE VOW!!! :) It was so cute :) After the movie we went to back to the room and were lazy. It was awesome. I had a CAC meeting at 7 so we went to that and then back to the room. We watched a bit of the Grammys and then the Lion King. We headed to bed around 11.
Evidence of how lazy we were.......

February 11
God was really looking out for me. I woke up around 8:15 this morning. I couldn't fall back asleep so I got up. I looked out the window and realized that my car was parked on the side of the ride that you can't park on on Saturdays. There was no ticket yet. I SPRINTED outside and moved it. Success. It was extremely cold out there. I came back inside and went to bed. :) We finally rolled out of bed around 11. It was a perfect lazy Saturday. We went to Panda Express for lunch. We came back and watched tv for the afternoon. We headed to Famous Dave's for supper around 5:15. At 6:45 we went to the HuB to help set up for the CAC Fundraiser. We were at the HuB until 11. Then we walked across the street to Tony's and grabbed some pizza. (My favorite pizza place in CF!) We came back and I was reunited with Katlyne, whom I hadn't talked to ALL day (that's a long time for us). Now we're just lounging. :) What a good day. EXCEPT. Zac snooped(because he's a jerk), found my blog, and saw his present before I gave it to him. I was so mad :( I got my present today though. Here he is: so cute!
His name is Charlie :)

February 6
Easiest day ever. I woke up around 9:30, went to work out in the Union, came back and showered. Then I went to my one class at noon. My 11:00 class got canceled. We had a test in French-pretty easy. After class I had lunch by myself and then did my homework. Go me! I left around 2:30 and went to Walmart to pick up the pictures to make Zac's present. I haven't gotten it made yet, but I have until Friday when he comes to stay with me. I worked 3:15 to 7:15. After work I made myself some Ramen for supper. First time I've eaten it since I've been at college! That's my picture of the day because my day was boring. I had a CAC meeting at 8:30 and it lasted about an hour. I should be in bed by now but a guy from Tiffany's high school came to say hi and he just left. So now I can go to bed. :)
