This whole "having the day off" thing is weird. and I don't like it. I would much rather be making money, because when I'm home, I'm worthless. Tonight I went on a short bike ride with Pedersen's and then we went to get ice cream. They got a new puppy since Blue died. Her name is Gidget and she's so cute!!

May 20

Congrats to everyone who graduated today! That's what my day consisted of..oh and slamming my head into a cabinet door. Yep, you read that right. I left a lower cupboard door open, bent down to get something off the floor, and that was the end of it. Cracked my head(really hard) on the corner of the cupboard door. Unfortunately, it got me a lot of attention when I went to graduation commencement...

After grad parties were said and done, Zac, Josiah, Taylor and I went out for a round of golf! So much fun :)

May 19

Well I didn't have to work today, and it was weird. Mom and dad went to Omaha for the night, so I was home alone all day. Of course, I couldn't have a party or anything (not that I would ;) ) because grandma would just have a cow! Abby and I made the rounds to graduation parties!

Happy 30th Birthday to my big sis, Lindsay!

Tate's graduation party was tonight. So proud of him!

I left his party to head to the golf course for Friday night couples. Curtis was my partner..we had a good time!

Another day at work. After work I ran to Dollar General to get some supplies for some simple grad presents. I spent all afternoon making those! Mom and I went for a walk while dad went to a meeting. Here's Tate's present...it looks a lot cooler than the picture shows...

Highlight of the day today was hanging out with Aunt Sharon :) We spent the afternoon/evening in Dodge. We got our nails done and did a little shopping :)

I worked, hung out with Zac, had supper with my parents, and then went for a bike ride with Scott and Brandon around the lake (which equals 7 miles, by the way). Hooray for a good day!

May 14

Spent the day at my sister Lindsay's house babysitting Connor today. Watched some tv, took some naps, etc. etc... My parents came up after work to till their garden for them. Here's the day/night in pictures :)

Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there. Even the ugly ones. (Shoutout to Father K.) Mother's Day is hard for my mama-my grandma has been gone for almost 4 years now. I miss her everyday, and I know my mom does too. We all went to church (including Zac), and then came home for breakfast. I made pancakes and we ate out on the patio table. What a beautiful day! Unfortunately I had to work 2-9 so I couldn't really enjoy the day outside. Especially since it was 94 DEGREES IN THE BUILDING. Linda hadn't turned the air on yet, and all the machines put out heat which makes it miserable in there. Not to mention the fact that I was working with a bunch of new people who had no idea what they were doing. Frustrating. Zac made it better by waiting for me to get off work and then taking me on a motorcycle ride around the lake. :)

May 12

Zac and I went to breakfast, and then I came back and (sorta) cleaned my room. Mollie and I took a trip to Dodge to get some supplies to create Marissa's grad present. It's gonna be AWESOME. Later I drove Zac, Josiah, and Lance to Fort Dodge for Amanda Moeller's birthday party. It was fun! and then I drove them all home too.....I think drunk is an understatement. It was pretty entertaining though :) Look who I found at the party!

May 11

The funeral was today. I only met his grandpa once, but I'm the type of girl who cries when I see others cry. We headed back to RC after all was said and done. I twisted Zac's arm and convinced him to golf Friday night couples with me. It was 3 couple best ball, so we golfed with my parents and Haub's. We golfed, well, shitty. But we had an AWESOME time :)

Unfortunately, Zac's grandpa (his dad's dad) had a heart attack on Monday and passed away. We went to Jefferson/Grand Junction for the visitation tonight. Here's a photo of us afterwards: (and yes, I got my hair cut)

Another day of work-wahoo! I'm working as many 8-2 shifts as possible before swim team starts. It's awesome because I'm the only one there, which equals monnnnneeeeyyyy :) I hung out with the Pedersen family for a bit, and their new dog, Gidget!

Hooray for going back to work! Love my job. I headed to Lake City to help with dance pictures. Judy needed someone to entertain Hadley for a bit, so we went for a walk :)

May 6

All we had to do for lifeguarding today was take our tests-written and physical. I was done by 10:30. I grabbed a Panera bagel, packed up my stuff, and headed HOME. When I got home I went straight to swim team registration. It's looking promising for this summer! I CAN'T WAIT. After that, Zac and I joined my parents and Haub's for a few holes of golf. We ran out to Tori's grad party and then went back to town to have supper at Haub's. These two can get wild....

May 5

I was in my lifeguarding class all day. It was supposed to go until 8pm. I was back at Abby's apartment by 3:30. I showered and went to church and then Abby, Melinda, and I went out to eat at Applebee's. Abby and I watched Bridesmaids and called it a night! I finally purchased Bridesmaids for myself :)

May 4

Moving day! But first, Joyce, Katlyne, and I went to Panera for breakfast-YUM. My parents showed up around 10:30 and we started moving stuff out! Sad/happy day. We finished around 1:15 and headed to BWW for lunch. (Katlyne went with us). My parents headed home after that. I dropped Katlyne off at her car so she could head back home and I went to Abby's apartment. I have to stay in CF this weekend because I'm getting certified as a lifeguard! So here's my beautiful host for the weekend:

May 3

Oh, Thursday. I had a paper due tonight, so I powered through it before noon. Go me! I had lunch with Lucas and then went to work for the afternoon (last day until the fall!)  After work Katlyne and I had supper and then walked with Jonathan, his friend Shelby, Eddie, and Courtney to Wynne's apartment for a French class get together. Who else showed up? Tatiana! (Grad student who taught our French class last semester) It was such a fun night! Here's just one photo from the night:

I was slightly productive today....but only because I had to be. I spent all day working on my papers for Religions of the World. I even had time to spare when I got them done. Jen, Morgan, and Danielle all moved out today. Sad day :( Especially because Jen isn't coming back to UNI! What will I do without her.....

Highlight of my day: Getting a pedicure with this beautiful girl:

She's graduating this year, so I won't get to see her beautiful face at Relay meetings anymore :( BUT she's working on campus so I'll still see her at church :) 

I went to Hudson tonight for the last choir practice of the semester. A little sad, but not really because I'll be back in September :) 

I got to meet Katlyne's mom! I get excited about the weirdest things.....

So....I took my Math final today. We're just gonna leave it at that.

I also worked today. Nothing exciting there.

I swam a few laps. Woo.

I ate a cupcake from Scratch. Delicious.

I ate snacks and played pictionary with some of my favorite  people (Anastasia, Lucas, Liz, Rob, Alyssa, Rebecca, Bridget, Mike, Rebecca, Adam) AKA-the Witness Choir from St. Stephen's. :)

April 30

Monday of finals week. What did I do?  Pretty much nothing academic-related. Zac drove up this morning for a visit. We went to lunch with my French class at MyVerona. Yum! And also, adorable. Flavia is so cute. We also went to Scratch with some Relay people (Emily D, Emily L, Lindsey, and Paige). We had supper with Jen and Lindsey and Katlyne. Then we went to the church because the Praise band had a lil' concert! It was awesome. I set up my computer and skyped with Mrs. T so she could hear us. It was awesome! So much fun.
